He's got the government trying to co-opt his invention, a powerful competitor after his business in the form of Sam Rockwell's Justin Hammer, a new enemy in Mickey Rourke's Whiplash and a new frenemy when Don Cheadle's Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes dons the War Machine armour for himself. Caprica - The TV Series - comes to Syfy on January 22, 2010
Like Battlestar Galactica before it, Caprica explores the themes of free will, identity, and what it means to be truly human. Using both Zoe and Daniel's experiments, the writers create a rubric for understanding the building blocks of creation, of humanity, of artificial intelligence. Through their actions, the audience sees the birth of a new race and how that very creation spells the end for the human race as we know it. Caprica is very much a different series than Battlestar Galactica. Unlike BSG, which took place in the dark recesses of space, Caprica is much more grounded. Set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed. Check out a red band trailer for “Repo Men”, which looks a lot like “Logan’s Run” with human organs. The film has Jude Law playing, from what I can tell, his first ever leading man role in what is a full blown action movie. No real method acting here, just pure sci-fi action and spraying blood.
