The Wachowskis’ are back with the epic sci-fi movie ‘Cloud Atlas‘ based on David Mitchell’s best selling novel. When we say ‘epic’ this is truly a long, stylish, sprawling and ambitious film (you’ll need plenty of popcorn!) Overall Cloud Atlas is excellent and achieves the almost impossible task of bringing together 6 separate but interconnected stories across totally different time periods, past, present and future. Directed by Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, and Tom Tykwer, this as you’d expect from the creators of The Matrix looks incredible – we particularly loved the futuristic sequences. Each of the actors and actresses play several characters across the movie under varying levels of makeup, prosthetics and wigs. The end credits revealed a few surprises! Our only question is what on earth was the top hat wearing Voodoo guy (Hugo Weaving) thinking?
