Possibly our favourite space ship design ever – the iconic Eagle Transporter from Space 1999. Eaglemoss has put together a brand new range of Space 1999 collectibles starting with the Eagle One Transporter. The Eagle Transporter was designed by Academy Award-winning SFX director Brian Johnson, he also worked on Alien, Star Wars, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. For those of you who are too young to remember, Space 1999, was a cult sci-fi classic TV series from the 70s. Space: 1999 followed the adventures of the occupants of Moonbase Alpha, left stranded when a massive nuclear explosion sent the Moon itself hurtling into deep space. Unlike the uniforms and crew of Space 1999, The Eagle Transporter has aged gracefully and still looks super cool today. The new Eagle One Transporter model from Eaglemoss will measure an impressive 25cm long, it’ll also include a companion magazine packed with design info, photos and interviews. We’ve only seen these photos of the model so far, but it’s looking pretty good and we can’t wait to get our hands on the real thing when its released this month.
