Alex Garland’s directorial debut ‘Ex Machina‘ is a stylish, dark and intelligent sci-fi thriller. It’s beautifully shot and directed, it oozes atmosphere and the acting is top notch, especially Alicia Vikander (Ava) and Oscar Isaac (Nathan Bates). It’s a pretty uncomfortable watch at times (in a good way) with a real sense of unease and dread as the events unfold. Ex Machina stayed with us long after the credits had rolled – excellent stuff.
