German artist Falk Haensel has created an amazing portfolio of otherworldly sci-fi and fantasy themed images that are both dark and truly beautiful. A common theme in Falk’s work is his fascination with the contrast and connection between the organic (living) and the mechanical (dead) elements in his paintings. We love the textures, mark making and lighting in his images where everything, including the living subjects are almost sculpted and carved from stone before being brought to life.
