Hung, Drawn and Executed: The Horror Art of Graham Humphreys is a magnificent new hard back art book release from publisher Korero Press. Hung, Drawn and Executed features the iconic artworks of Graham Humphreys, an illustrator and visual artist best known for producing film posters and promotional art for horror films. During the 1980s, Graham Humphreys worked with Palace Pictures, producing publicity material, cover art and posters for classic horror films such as Dream Demon, Basket Case, The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. This beautifully presented art book has 176 pages of iconic movie posters, illustrations and paintings, showcasing the amazing work of the artist. Korero have done a fantastic job and the artwork reproductions inside are glorious. Every work here deserves close inspection and any fans of classic horror and sci-fi art will find loads to love. It’s also great to see a contemporary artist resisting digital image creation and using the traditional medium of gouache to paint his images. Alongside his most well known works this book also includes previously unseen paintings, drawings and sketches.
