We’ve finally watched the epic Ready Player One from director Steven Spielberg and we loved it. It’s a heady mix of science fiction, popular culture, video games and virtual reality. People have commented it’s not as good as the sci-fi novel it’s adapted from by Ernest Klein but we’ve not read that, so our review is based purely on the movie. It’s not perfect, as you do feel like you’re watching a video game in places (but I guess that’s the point?). Visually Ready Player One looks incredible and the special FX and design are stunning. For any fans of video games and sci-fi (everyone here!) we recommend you get a copy and watch it on the biggest screen possible!
