Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges star in the upcoming sci-fi movie R.I.P.D. adapted from the Peter M. Lenkov graphic novel. The basic plot: ‘Two undead cops (Reynolds and Bridges) are dispatched to protect our world from a destructive array of creatures who refuse to move peacefully to the other side’. There’s a definite ‘Men In Black’ vibe going on here and we’re in very familiar territory with both the characters and the plot based on what we’ve seen in the trailer. Having said that it does look kind of fun, Jeff Bridges is always cool and the production values and fx are looking pretty top notch. Okay we’re hooked! – R.I.P.D. arrives in cinemas in July.
