At last we have the first trailer for the BBC adaptation of the HG Wells sci-fi classic The War of the Worlds. We’re really excited about this production as it’s set in the Edwardian period and in London as in the original book. The writer, Peter Harness adds “The version of The War of the Worlds that I wanted to make is one that’s faithful to the tone and the spirit of the book, but which also feels contemporary, surprising and full of shocks: a collision of sci-fi, period drama and horror.” The trailer looks pretty awesome with some great looking effects and production values. Hopefully we’ll get a release date soon!
