At last the full official trailer for Dredd starring Karl Urban has arrived. It’s all looking nice and gritty and less showy than the Danny Cannon’s 1995 effort with Sylvester Stallone. The price we pay for a darker more realistic Dredd is a slightly underwhelming visual style, it all feels very near future rather than the stunning Mega City One, massive bikes and stylised costumes of the comic. This approach worked well with the revisioned Battlestar Galactica reboot ditching the glossy finish of the original series.
We’ve only got to wait till September for the movie’s UK release and we have a selection of images taken from the trailer to wet your appetite.
