We’ve finally caught up and watched Thor: The Dark World and we rather liked it. The tone of the movie was slightly darker and a little more serious than Kenneth Branagh’s first installment but we found it equally as entertaining. It certainly felt more like a proper sci-fi movie with stunning sequences set on the Thor homeworld of Asgard. Chris Hemsworth does a fab job again as Thor doing plenty of hammer bashing, however, the real star for us was Tom Hiddleston who steals the show as the excellent and devious Loki. Thor: The Dark World is great fun with plenty of twists and turns (possibly one too many?) and director Alan Taylor delivers a good, solid, beautiful looking piece of Marvel comic book action. Roll on part 3!
